So where to start?The end got here much sooner than I anticipated. So I would first like to start with a word of thanks to James. When I read the first book in this series, I didnot anticipate to be here reading the continuation of this series over two years later. You have kept me captivated, entertained and on my toes throughout the series. And for that I thank you!Now on to the review. In the last books the true Ere was starting to shine through and where I loved him as the villain and his wit, the insights provide throughout made me love him for his strength and his kindness. This only got reinforced in his story, it was so good to see him find love and get to know him from a side not revealed earlier. I just love Ere's mind. The connections he seems to make with inane things to distraction. I mean how do you end up thinking about Caribou's & Mooses when checking out some eye candy? 😂. In the debate of Nature vs Nurture, nature scored a whole lot of points as it got real clear where Benjamin gets his distracted chattiness from.On to Sorin, I loved how he stayed true to his Mate over the millenia that passed. Eventhough I got frustrated with them both at times for all the misconceptions because of them not expressing their true feelings, I still felt that they showed this in their psychical interactions, which where 🙀🍆🌡🔥.Eventhough those scene's where H-O-T!! My focus and the thing I loved most about this book, was to see Ere come into his own. To see him talk with conviction and a true sense of self.While I am sad that this series has come to an end, this book was a truly worthy end to this series.Cannot wait to see what James comes up with next. Dark Purity deserves every star possible. It is one of my TOP READS EVER! I am so grateful that I got to not only beta read this but read it again with the ARC. This story completely enthralled me. It was everything I wanted for Ere and more. It’s hard to believe that a character that many readers were probably unsure about in the beginning turned into who he was meant to be in the most spectacular way. It doesn’t take a scientist to realize his story arc was absolutely poetic. Not only that, Sorin was absolutely perfect for Ere.I don’t want to say too much because you really need to go into this blind. At this point if you haven’t read this series or gone into every single one of these stories mostly blind, well that’s on you.So here are a few things to drive home that you absolutely have to read this series and the final story because Ere and Sorin are EVERYTHING!First, there are dragons and I love dragons. Second, it’s the best and hottest MM I have ever read. Hands down. There is so much emotion and passion between Ere and Sorin, you’ll be feeling the burn for a long time.Third, AJ does a spectacular job at bringing everything together, tying up loose ends but also throwing some bread crumbs to her readers that perhaps there will be more stories in this world.Fourth, AJ throws in Ere’s signature humor and I am not sure there is anyone that does a tortured hero better than AJ. This story will break your heart in to a million pieces but their past, present and future is epic. Finally, while Ramses may still be my favorite hero in this series, Ere and Sorin take the spot as my favorite couple.
